.... To obtain the one file you will need from us, the actual program file, you can find this at http://www.goldengem.co.uk/goldengem.exe. You will also need the Microsoft Dynamic Link Library called comdlg32.dll if it is not already present in your system32 folder. It is found on Microsoft's website and elsewhere, and may be placed in the same folder where you put goldengem.exe. The first time it is run, a new file called goldengem.ini will be created in the same folder, which will save your settings each time you close and later restart the program. Each time you load stock data from the internet, it will come into a plain text file called temporary.tmp, which you can open with notepad or wordpad. This file will be created the first time you download stock data from the internet, and it will be over-written for each ticker. The combined file will be called Internet.txt. This will also be over-written with each use, although if you rename it you can later browse to it from GoldenGem. Data imported from a folder will be saved in a file called Combined.txt. In conclusion, you can manage your own files and other data in the GoldenGem folder you have created. It is useful to have everything in one folder as that folder will then come up when you 'browse' from GoldenGem.
