WriteTalk Instructions
Bring your child to the computer. Raise the chair to a comfortable height.
- Maximize the WriteTalk window. The monitor is just now a blank green screen. Let your child use the keyboard.
- Any letter he types will display large on the green screen.
- Also, the phonetic sound of the letter will be heard.
- Type an actual word, and type a space afterwards. The word will be pronounced correctly.
- Show the child the space and backspace key, and he will try making words on his own. Show the child how to make a period. When he presses the period button, all words up to now are stated and erased.
- If you prefer letter names, instead of phonetic sounds, uncheck the appropriate box at the top of the screen.
- If you prefer capital letters, set the caps lock key on the keyboard.
- There are many combinations of the three check boxes being checked or unchecked. With all unchecked, the computer does nothing but read the sentence out loud when it reaches the period at the end of the sentence.

Registration Link
Click the PayPal button below to purchase a permanent registration key for WriteTalk. Replacement keys will be sent for free if you change computers, for as long as you keep the same email address. You will be sent to PayPal to process a payment of $25.00 to moody@maths.warwick.ac.uk Do not close the final paypal window, instead click the small "return to merchant" link at the bottom left of the page. You will be sent to a page which will generate your registration key online.
You will also receive a copy of the registration key at the email address which you provide to Paypal.
